Ever since I started FOOTBALLfevr, I always wanted to have the opportunity to interact with football players from around the world, try to get what’s in their minds, stuff they go through outside of football, pressures they have to deal with etc. I’m sure you’d also be interested in knowing more about your favourite players, be they from the PSL, English Premiership etc.

Well, ‘the HOT Seat’, a new section we are adding to the blog, will be aimed at showcasing exclusive interviews with football players, accepting the fact that it will probably be next to impossible to get hold of players in the Premiership and other leagues such as the La Liga and Serie A, we’ll be putting all our efforts at getting hold of the local players, players plying their trade in the ABSA Premiership – and maybe if are we lucky enough, coaches as well as legends.
This is all exciting but I know that it’s a challenging task, hence the reason I’ve waited so long to launch this section. But even through all the challenges, with the hard work we’ve put in since the site’s launch in February 2009, I am proud to tell you that we are now averaging 60 000 unique users a month with over 100 000 page impressions. I know this might be nothing compared to huge sites, but for us, it’s a success story considering the site is just about 6 months old.
We are taking baby steps here, so bear with us when at some point interviews don’t come as thick and fast as you expect them. But be sure the first interview will be posted this week and if you want to stay updated, choose one of the following options:

Till later…
