The Confederations Cup has come and gone and it sure left a lot of good memories in our minds. If you are South African you will definitely share the same sentiments after the grand showing Bafana Bafana produced against some of the best national teams in the world. Talking about the world, a lot has been happening around the world as far as transfers are concerned. Carlos Tevez finally left Old Trafford, Cristiano Ronaldo penned a six year deal with Madrid, and Eto’o is on the verge of becoming a Manchester City striker.

Rumours linking Brazilian left back, Maicon, with a move to Chelsea seem to have been shot down by a statement from the players agent stating the player was staying at Milan. And also Filipe Melo who’d been linked with a move to Arsenal has penned a one year deal with his club, Fiorentina.

Samuel Eto’o wants a £12.5m signing-on fee to join Manchester City. The Barcelona striker has already been offered wages of £250,000 a week by the Eastlands club.
