After going two goals down in the first half, Brazil came back strongly in the second half to make it 3 -- 2 Brazil. Luis Fabiano scored a brace for his country and captain fantastic Lucio headed Brazil to their Confederations Cup 2009 title.

Well done Brazil, but it must be noted the US gave a good account of themselves yet again and certainly came close to producing another upset.
